Error message
In the message, %s marks a value that the engine fills in when it raises the error.
The story
Your manifest has a store setting that rush does not understand. Here is how simple the surface is meant to be. Your project says one thing about where it lives: local, or distributed. You write it with config store, followed by one bare word. If you write nothing, it is local. Now, what if you write something else, like cloud, or put the word in quotes, or in a list, or give a number? Rush refuses, before parsing any file. Why not just guess that cloud means distributed? Because the choice has consequences. A node that quietly joins the distributed set gets judged by rules about version skew that it never asked for, and a node that quietly leaves would stop sharing data without warning. That is too important to leave to a guess. The message names the manifest, the line and the word, and the second slot gives the repair. Write local or distributed, as a bare word, and rush will do exactly that.
